Greece cuts government arrears by 168 million euros in June

In Greece, the total outstanding liabilities of General Government entities to private individuals and businesses fell by 168 million euros in June, declining to 3.55 billion euros from 3.718 billion euros in May.

However, over the first six months of the year, they have increased by 251 million euros compared with the 3.299 billion euros recorded in December 2025, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

Data from the General Accounting Office of the State show that overdue liabilities to suppliers and other private-sector entities stood at 2.762 billion euros at the end of June.

Compared with May, when they amounted to 2.999 billion euros, outstanding debts fell by 237 million euros.

However, compared with December 2025, the total has increased by 185 million euros, as overdue liabilities stood at 2.577 billion euros at the end of last year.
