Romania presents modern image of investment and tradition in Bavaria
The art of wine, Romania’s economic spirit, and cultural richness were showcased at the event “Discover Romania – Wine, Economy & Culture!” hosted by the Consulate General of Romania in Munich.
The event offered guests from the economic, diplomatic, and media fields — including representatives of the Munich Press Club — the opportunity to taste wines from the country’s six major wine regions (Banat, Transylvania, Moldova, Muntenia, Dobrogea, and Oltenia), along with traditional Romanian dishes, according to a press release issued by the consulate, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
“Romania is a country in motion — connected and innovative — a solid economic destination and a culture that stands out through authenticity and dynamism,” said Miheia Diculescu-Blebea, Consul General of Romania in Munich, in her opening remarks.
Michael Kerkloh, president of Export-Club Bavaria and co-organizer of the event, praised the ongoing partnership between Romania and Bavaria, emphasizing that an increasing number of Bavarian companies view Romania as a strategic destination for investment and regional cooperation.
The event was moderated by Christian Macedonschi, a Brașov-based entrepreneur and representative of Smart City Brașov, who presented Romania’s economic growth, investment opportunities in infrastructure and green energy, as well as the country’s cultural and tourism potential that set it apart in the region.
According to the same source, participants had the chance to discover a modern image of Romania: a steadily growing economy, a well-trained workforce, and a strategic position in the eastern part of the European Union.
Through this event, the Consulate General of Romania in Munich reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Romanian-Bavarian bilateral cooperation and promoting a modern, open, and competitive image of Romania — a European country with taste, energy, and vision.
