AliExpress under investigation in France for pornographic dolls
The French Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) announced on Monday that it had referred AliExpress to the Public Prosecutor’s Office after discovering the sale of child pornographic dolls on the platform — just two days after reporting similar sales on Shein, CE Report quotes ANSA.
The “description” and “categorization” of these dolls on the site “leave little doubt as to their pedopornographic nature,” the agency said in a statement, adding that it had “extended its investigations to other e-commerce platforms widely used by French consumers,” without naming them.
