Speaking to international media on Thursday, Boujnah praised Greece’s economic progress and emphasized that the deal will strengthen Euronext’s strategic position while offering long-term benefits to the Greek market by increasing its integration into European and global capital flows.

Between 2020 and 2024, ATHEX’s net revenue rose over 70% to €52 million, while EBITDA tripled to €23.7 million. Boujnah noted that Greek economic growth will continue to support market activity and enhance transparency and investor appeal.

The acquisition is also expected to deliver annual cash synergies of €12 million by 2028, with restructuring costs estimated at €25 million.
