The average monthly net wage in May 2025 was Mden 45,796 (EUR 744), an increase of 11% compared to the same month in 2024, the State Statistical Office said Wednesday, CE Report quotes MIA.

According to the State Statistical Office, the increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Financial and insurance activities 23.9%, Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles 15.1% and Education 14.4%.

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Financial and insurance activities 13.5%, Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles 5.4% and Mining and quarrying 5.1%.

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in May 2025 was Mden 68,859 (EUR 1,119).
