AADE Moves to Take Over Farm Payments Authority

Officials from Greece’s Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) visited the headquarters of OPEKEPE on Friday, seeking key documents to speed up the agency’s transfer under AADE control, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

The tax officials requested staff lists, financial records, and private contracts. These must be submitted by August 8, with further data likely needed after review.

OPEKEPE, responsible for EU farm subsidy payments, was previously overseen by the Rural Development Ministry and is under scrutiny for payment irregularities.
