Albanian Exports Rise Slightly in First Half of 2025

The first half of 2025 has found Albanian exports moving towards sustainability in the face of the challenges they have encountered, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The decline of the euro and other currencies, as well as geopolitical factors, have damaged Albanian exports for years, losing ground in the international arena, but an improvement has been noted.

Thirty-five billion lek of "Made in Albania" products were registered in June, an increase of one point nine percent compared to a year earlier, Top Channel reports.

The groups of "Minerals, fuels, electricity" with a plus of nine points seven percentage points, "food, beverages, tobacco" with a plus of three points one percentage point that influenced the most in this stability of exports. Albania exported more of these goods to Kosovo, Germany, Greece.

On the other hand, influenced by seasonal products and the entry of domestic production into the market, dependence on imports was reduced, falling by zero point two percent, to seventy-seven billion lek.

"Construction materials and metals" contributed to the decline by one point nine percentage points and "Minerals, fuels, electricity" by zero point six percentage points, etc. This decrease in imports is most noticeable with Italy, Turkey and the United States of America.

Such a situation with an increase in exports and a decrease in imports has also brought about an improvement in the trade deficit by two percent, reaching forty-one billion lek.
