In an interview with BTA, Krasen Kyurkchiev, CEO of Ficosota Food, revealed that the Bulgarian FMCG company has invested over BGN 255 million in the past decade to ensure long-term, sustainable growth. He emphasized that consistent investment is essential for global competitiveness and sales expansion, CE Report quotes BTA

Ficosota, which employs around 1,400 people, exports household and food products to more than 80 countries. Its popular brands include Savex, Bruschette Maretti, and Pufies. In April, the company won the Investor of the Year award in the Sustainable Business category.

Among recent projects is a high-tech production center in Shumen, with over BGN 80 million invested, including a new 15,000 sq. m bruschetta bakery. Ficosota has also implemented photovoltaic systems to support its sustainability goals.

Bruschette Maretti now holds 11–12% of Bulgaria’s baked snacks market and is exported to multiple countries, including the US. In 2024, over 70% of the company’s turnover came from exports, with food exports accounting for nearly 90%.
