Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh met with French Ambassador to Bulgaria Joel Meyer to discuss boosting tourism ties between the two countries, the Ministry's press centre reported Monday, CE Report quotes BTA

Borshosh announced a new strategic campaign to attract French tourists, highlighting Bulgaria’s year-round offerings in nature, cultural, rural, wine, and adventure tourism through digital advertising. "French tourists are very special for us," Borshosh said, adding that a more tailored approach is being developed.

Meyer noted that while the French are fond of Bulgaria, they don't know it well, and encouraged a comprehensive marketing strategy. He also invited Borshosh to participate in "Bulgaria's Day in Paris" on June 19, promoting tourism, business, and investment opportunities.

Borshosh invited the Ambassador to the 9th Global Wine Tourism Conference in Plovdiv and emphasized Bulgaria's potential as a global wine and gastronomy destination. He also announced initiatives to adapt information about Bulgarian tourist sites for French-speaking visitors.
