Romania approves extension of Bucharest Metro Line 4

The government of Romania approved, by resolution, the location of the works for the extension of Metro Line 4, Gara de Nord – Gara Progresul Section, according to the final version of the feasibility study, as well as the expropriation of properties located along the expropriation corridor for this project.

According to a government statement, compensations amount to over 141 million lei for a total of 118 privately owned properties, covering an area of more than 110,000 square meters, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

As reported by CE Report, the route of the new Metro Line M4 will have 14 stations, stretching approximately 12 kilometers between Gara de Nord 2 and Gara Progresul stations, crossing the territory of Sectors 1, 4, and 5 of Bucharest, as well as the commune of Jilava in Ilfov County, the government statement said.
