In Brussels, EU Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas met with top aviation leaders, including the Board of ACI Europe, Boeing, Airbus, and Fraport, to discuss the European Commission’s upcoming Aviation Strategy, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Talks centered on boosting the competitiveness and sustainability of the air transport sector. Key points included strengthening air connectivity across Europe and supporting the transition to sustainable aviation fuels.

Meetings with ACI Europe, Fraport, and Copelouzos Group highlighted cooperation to enhance airport infrastructure. Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury emphasized the company’s commitment to decarbonization, while Boeing’s Brendan Nelson discussed transatlantic market opportunities and regulatory cooperation.
