Albania's wine earns praise, expands international reach

Business

The "Arbëri" wine production cellar, a family business of the Kaçorri family, located in Albania's Mirdita region, has revived the tradition of the unique taste of Kallmet wine.

This winery has given not only this region but also Albania a name in the world for the exceptional quality of its wine, CE Report quotes ATA.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by the Minister of Justice and political leader of the Lezhë district, Ulsi Manja, visited the winery, where a guesthouse is also being built nearby.

Rama stated that the wine produced at the "Arbëri" winery, with vineyards planted on the high hills of Bukmira, has crossed the borders of Albania and reached prestigious restaurants in France.

"But the innovation is the beautiful guesthouse, which will complete the entire system of bio-productions for agritourism 'Arbëri', which will soon open its doors among the vineyards and the wonderful nature," emphasized Rama.

This business started with a 3-hectare vineyard, but over time, the vineyard areas expanded, and the production of high-quality wine from the "Arbëri" winery not only became the most sought-after drink in local markets and elite restaurants but is now exported to many countries in Europe, as well as to the United States and Asia.

The wine from this winery has now been praised by prestigious foreign media, which have rated the "Arbëri" winery with the highest quality scores, giving recognition not only to this business but also to Albania.
