Bulgaria's Ministry of Finance raised BGN 300 million through a successful auction of seven-year fixed-rate government bonds, the Bulgarian National Bank reported Monday. The bonds, with a 3.25% annual coupon, were first issued in January 2025, CE Report quotes BTA

Total bids reached BGN 495.43 million, with a coverage ratio of 1.65. The approved amount included BGN 42.7 million in non-competitive bids. The average annual yield was 3.51%, with eight primary dealers participating.

This marks the eighth domestic debt auction of 2025, bringing total funds raised to BGN 1.8 billion. The outstanding volume of the seven-year bonds now stands at BGN 800 million. The government can issue up to BGN 18.9 billion in new debt this year under the 2025 State Budget Act.
