9,000 Women Supported by ODA Programs Over the Last Four Years

Around 9,000 women have benefited from support through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) programs in the past four years, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitization Dumitru Alaiba announced on International Women’s Day, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Alaiba emphasized the crucial role of women in driving innovation and economic growth. "We support female entrepreneurship and create real opportunities for women to succeed in business. Women bring change, innovate, and contribute significantly to the country’s economy—something that should be recognized every day," he stated.

According to ODA, 1,030 women entrepreneurs received grants totaling 338.4 million lei, while 580 women-led businesses secured loan guarantees worth 516.6 million lei. Additionally, 165 women accessed 600 million lei in financing through the 373 Programme. Beyond financial support, 7,200 women enhanced their skills through ODA training courses.

These initiatives highlight Moldova’s commitment to empowering women in business and fostering economic development.
