Market Developments Top Business Risks in Bulgaria for 2025: Allianz Survey

Market developments have emerged as the leading business risk in Bulgaria, according to the 14th Allianz Risk Barometer, published on Wednesday. The survey highlights challenges such as intensified competition, market stagnation, and fluctuations, which accounted for 42% of responses—up from 30% in last year's report when this category ranked second, CE Report quotes BTA

Macroeconomic risks, including inflation and monetary policies, ranked second with 38% of responses. Changes in legislation and regulation, such as new directives and sustainability requirements, followed closely at 31%.

Other notable risks include a shortage of skilled workers (27%), energy crises (23%), and natural disasters (23%). New entrants to the top 10 risks include service disruptions, climate change, political risks, and cyber incidents, reflecting growing concerns in these areas.

The survey underscores shifting priorities for Bulgarian businesses as they navigate a rapidly evolving economic landscape.
