PM Zhelyazkov Prioritizes Road Safety Solutions
Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov emphasized the importance of finding solutions to road safety issues during a meeting at the Council of Ministers on Tuesday. Rather than focusing on assigning blame for inherited problems, he urged immediate action to address the crisis, CE Report quotes BTA
The meeting, attended by ministers, relevant authorities, and NGOs, aimed to outline specific measures for improving organizational activities, oversight, and road infrastructure. Zhelyazkov stressed that traffic control had been prioritized by the new government.
He also highlighted the need to address organizational challenges within agencies responsible for road safety. Key participants included Justice Minister Georgi Georgiev, Interior Minister Daniel Mitov, Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova, and other key figures in road safety and infrastructure. Relatives of victims of road traffic accidents were also present.
