Excellent Hiking Conditions in the Mountains, But Be Prepared

Sunny, clear, and calm weather has created great conditions for hiking in the mountains, the Mountain Rescue Service reported on Sunday. Most roads are accessible, but tourists are advised to prepare for subzero temperatures and snowy terrain, CE Report quotes BTA

On Saturday, rescuers responded to an incident in Vitosha Mountain near Cherni Vrah, where a man was found barely conscious with severe hypothermia. He received medical attention and was transported by ambulance.

Hikers are reminded to dress warmly and plan carefully for safe mountain adventures.
