Ukraine's Donetsk region boosts defense spending
The Defense Council of Ukraine's Donetsk region has decided to allocate more than UAH 40 million from the regional budget for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units defending the region.
The head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, stated this in a Telegram post, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
"Another meeting of the regional Defense Council: we are allocating over 40 million for the needs of the army. Defense Forces units will use these funds to purchase UAVs, EW systems, and FPV drones," he wrote.
He emphasized that the region continues to support those who defend the Donetsk region, and this will remain a top priority for all local military administrations.
Filashkin also underlined the rational use of state funds and the transparency of defense procurement. In addition, he again stressed the importance of adhering to the ban on the sale of alcoholic products in all communities of the region, as this is "first and foremost important for our safety and for the moral and psychological state of the people."
As reported, on November 26, the Lviv City Council session introduced budget amendments and allocated an additional UAH 100 million for the program supporting the military.
