Ukrainian marines shoot down Russian Ka-52 helicopter in Berdiansk sector

Fighters with the 36th Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky have destroyed a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter with a Javelin anti-tank missile system in the Berdiansk sector.

The brigade's press service announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Berdiansk direction, the brigade's anti-tankers burned down an expensive Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter, known as Alligator, with a Javelin ATGM," the post reads.

Over the past week, Ukraine's defense forces destroyed about 5,030 Russian troops and 154 artillery systems.
