Zelensky Awards Distinctions to Navy’s Elite Brigades

President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded honorary distinctions to three brigades of the Ukrainian Navy’s Marine Corps. The 38th Separate Marine Brigade was granted an honorary name, while the 36th and 37th Brigades were recognized for their courage and bravery.

The relevant decrees were published on the official website of the President of Ukraine, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

Specifically, the 38th Separate Marine Brigade has been granted the honorary title “named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi.” It will henceforth be referred to as the 38th Separate Marine Brigade named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi received the presidential award For Courage and Bravery. The 37th Separate Marine Brigade was honored with the same distinction.

Additionally, President Zelensky awarded the title Hero of Ukraine to Captain Yevhenii Shablo for personal courage, heroism in defense of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and dedicated service to the Ukrainian people.
