Ukraine, Moldova coordinate moves within negotiation process on joining EU

Ukraine and Moldova exchanged expectations and plans in the context of the next stage of the EU accession negotiation process.

This was discussed during the consultations of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyna, with the Moldovan delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of Moldova, Kristina Gerasimov, who arrived on a working visit to Kyiv, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

"The parties discussed the format and approaches to the preparation of bilateral meetings within the framework of screening, shared their own experience in building the architecture of the negotiation process and adopting legislation. In particular, special attention was paid to the process of formation and work of task force groups, and to the involvement of representatives from civil society, business, and parliament in the process," the message states.

A separate issue was the exchange of experience and the development of cooperation with other countries of the EU enlargement package, the nations of the Western Balkans.
