Giro d’Italia showcases Albania’s beauty

Albania welcomed for the first time the Giro d’Italia – Grande Partenza (The Grand Start of the Giro d’Italia), one of the world’s most famous cycling tours.

The tour held its first three stages in Albania (May 9, 10, and 11) in the cities of Durrës, Tirana, and Vlorë, CE Report quotes ATA.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social media a video published by the organizers of the Giro d’Italia, who thanked Albania for hosting the event while also sharing key moments from the development of the cycling tour in the country.

“Il mondo gira” (The world spins), wrote Rama alongside the video.

This event was broadcast in more than 200 countries around the world, with over 800 million viewers having their eyes on Albania for three days.
