Ford launches Europe’s first electrified Ranger pickup

Tech & Science

As the first electrified pickup model in all of Europe, the new Ford Ranger plug-in hybrid opens a new chapter in its category.

It offers professional drivers a vehicle that ensures fuel efficiency and the ability to drive purely on electric power, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

At the same time, it delivers outstanding performance on any terrain.

Fuel consumption reaches up to 3.4 liters per 100 km, thanks to Ford’s high-performance 2.3L EcoBoost petrol engine.

This engine is paired with an advanced 75 kW electric motor and a high-voltage 11.8 kWh battery, producing a maximum power of 281 hp, higher than that of a 3.0L V6 diesel Ranger.

The electrified model also provides 697 Nm of torque and an electric range of up to 50 kilometers with zero fuel consumption and zero emissions.
