Champions League: ACH Volley Ljubljana take on Ziraat Bankkart

After successful Champions League qualification and a defeat in their opening Group A match against Trentino, ACH Volley Ljubljana’s players had a short break, but a new challenge awaits them today.

In the second round of the competition, another contender for the top places in the group is coming to Tivoli — Türkiye’s Ziraat Bankkart from Ankara, CE Report quotes STA.

The Orange Dragons are not afraid of the challenge and believe they can beat them.

Ziraat, the Turkish champions, sit at the top of the domestic league with just one defeat and opened their Group A campaign with a win over Tours. With their star-studded lineup — led by Dutch opposite Nemir Abdul-Aziz, French international Trevor Clevenot and Polish international Tomasz Fornal — they are certainly among the favorites.

ACH Volley head coach Igor Kolaković has great respect for the Turkish side but believes the energy of Tivoli can give the home team the edge.
