Torino eyes Mauro Icardi for Serie A comeback
A sensational rumor is circulating from Turkiye involving the well-known name Mauro Icardi.
According to Turkish media, Torino is in contact with the Argentine striker regarding a possible return to Serie A, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Icardi’s contract with Galatasaray expires in June, and the “Granata” club’s management is exploring the possibility of convincing him to come back to Italy after several years.
Icardi, who has been part of Galatasaray since the 2022/23 season, has an impressive record of 66 goals in 96 matches. However, this season he has started only three games in the league, although he has managed to score five times.
A possible return to Serie A would be a major boost for Torino and an exciting comeback for the former Inter star, who is known for his exceptional instinct in the opponent’s penalty area.
