Kosovo Handball Coach Names Squad Ahead of Crucial Qualifiers

Kosovo coach, Bujar Qerimi, announced on Wednesday the list of handball players invited for the matches with the Faroe Islands and the Netherlands, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

For the first time, Amar Muqolli has been invited to the extended team, while Olsi Mulaj returns. These are the two talented handball players of Besa Famga who excelled with Kosovo U18. Arbios Mushkolaj also returns, who missed the previous matches due to an injury.

Due to injuries, Kastriot Jupa and Lionel Mirdita are missing.

The national team gathers on Sunday night, May 4. Training begins on Monday, May 5.

The Kosovo - Faroe Islands match is on May 8th at 20:15 at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina. The match with the Netherlands is on May 11th in 's-Hertogenbosch.

These are the last two qualifying matches for Euro 2026 where Kosovo seeks success for historic qualification.

In Group 6, the Faroe Islands are in first place with 5 points. Ukraine and the Netherlands have 4 points each, while Kosovo has three points. The race in the group is completely open.
