Albania shines at Special Olympics with gold medals

Albania's Special Olympics team has excelled with the performance of athletes with special abilities, securing two gold medals.

In her debut in Turin, Italy, Elizon Kacanja won a gold medal in Alpine Skiing, as did Stela Salla in Cross Country Skiing, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

A silver medal was won by Elizon Kacanja in the giant slalom and two bronze medals were secured by Joanis Myrtollaris in Alpine Skiing and Joel Gërmenji in Snowshoeing (50 meters).

Prime Minister Edi Rama has congratulated Albanian athletes for their great success, calling the medals won fantastic.
