President Dan: Romania Has a Future Within Reach
President Nicușor Dan expressed optimism about Romania’s near-term prospects during the Extraordinary Congress of the National Liberal Party (PNL) on Saturday, CE Report quotes AGERPRES
“I’m certain Romania has a future—not in 20-30 years, but in two or three—as soon as we get through this correction period,” Dan said, highlighting the country's dynamic private sector and the upcoming opportunity to join the OECD by the end of next year, which could boost foreign investment.
He praised the PNL for maintaining the “right direction” despite acknowledging past mistakes, and stressed the importance of continued reform efforts: “We must fix the wrongs in our society, or Romanians in 2028 will not forgive us.”
President Dan also extended support to Moldova, wishing success to pro-Western forces in the country’s upcoming elections, with Moldovan Parliament President Igor Grosu present at the event.
