Romania

The Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth, and Social Solidarity has launched the "START - Invest in Qualification for the Future!" project, offering paid apprenticeship programs for young people under 30. The initiative allows participants to gain hands-on work experience for 6 to 36 months while receiving a salary, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"This program paves the way for young people to start their careers, learn a trade, and earn a salary while training," said Minister Simona Bucura Oprescu. Funded by €30 million from European and state resources, the program provides 2,250 RON per month to employers for each apprentice hired.

Some of the most in-demand trades include welders, electricians, plumbers, toolmakers, and tinsmiths, with salaries ranging from 5,764 to 7,262 RON per month.
