Romania advances in U18 European Volleyball Championship qualifiers

Romania’s national team qualified for the second phase of the 2026 Under-18 Men’s European Volleyball Championship qualifiers after defeating Greece 3–0 (25–15, 25–20, 25–19) on Tuesday in Podgorica, in the match for 5th–6th place in the Balkan qualifying zone.

The “Tricolors” secured the win after one hour and 12 minutes of play, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

Mario Eduard Panait, with 10 points, was the best player for the team coached by Răzvan Pârpală.

As reported by CE Report, only the tournament winner will qualify directly for the final tournament (July 7–18, in Italy). The next four teams in the Balkan zone advance to the second phase of the European qualifiers, scheduled for March 26–29, with Romania finishing as the last of those four.
