Albania, Kosovo, Croatia launch new trilateral military format
Albanian Defense Minister Piro Vengu said that the first trilateral military exercise of Albania, Kosovo and Croatia will be held this year, within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement signed on March 18 last year.
“In 2026, the first trilateral exercise will take place, in line with NATO’s Strategic Concept and Euro-Atlantic objectives,” Vengu announced on social media.
He stressed that an important step has been made in implementing the trilateral agreement, noting that the Chiefs of General Staff of Albania and Croatia, as well as the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, held a joint meeting to enhance military cooperation, posting a photo of the three senior military officials, CE Report quotes MIA.
“The focus of cooperation will be on strengthening military coordination, increasing interoperability and raising the operational readiness of the armed forces of the three countries, with particular emphasis on developing joint exercises and training to address security challenges and hybrid threats,” Vengu wrote.
The meeting was held today in Shkodra, while earlier, on January 30, a meeting was organized in Zagreb at the level of directors for defense policy and armaments of the three countries.
