BiH Prosecutor's Office has no war crimes case against Serbian President - EXCLUSIVE
The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), in an exclusive interview with CE Report, has confirmed that it has not received any police report or formal complaint concerning Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his alleged responsibility for war crimes in Sarajevo, particularly in the Grbavica area.
According to the Office, there is currently no open investigation related to Vučić.
Over the past 20 years of its existence, the Special Department for War Crimes has filed indictments against around 1,200 individuals, including high-ranking officials from the military, politics and police, and information on cases and verdicts is available on the websites of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and the Court of BiH.
As reported, Bosnia's Naprijed! Party is demanding that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina immediately open an investigation into the role of Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia, in war crimes committed against the population of Sarajevo, particularly in the Grbavica area.
Šemsudin Mehmedović, president of the party and a member of the BiH Parliament, stated this in a comment to FENA.
He said the investigation should focus on Vučić’s responsibility for actions during the war.
