Trump receives Nobel Peace Prize medal from Maria Corina Machado
Former U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that it was a great honor for him to meet Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. He called her an extraordinary woman who has faced many difficulties.
Trump said that Machado presented him with her Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of the work he has done, describing it as a wonderful gesture of mutual respect and thanking her, CE Report quotes ANSA.
As reported by CE Report, according to news reports, Machado gave Trump her Nobel Peace Prize medal during a White House meeting — a symbolic gesture to recognize what she sees as his contributions, particularly related to Venezuelan affairs.
However, the Nobel Prize itself is non-transferable; the Norwegian Nobel Institute has clarified that while the physical medal can change hands, the title and award cannot be transferred after it is announced.
