Israel plans strict detention for activists in Global Sumud Flotilla
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has presented a plan to the government aimed at stopping the Global Sumud Flotilla, under which all arrested activists will be held in extended detention — unlike previous practice — in the Israeli prisons of Ketziot and Damon.
These prisons are used to detain terrorists under strict conditions typically reserved for security prisoners, CE Report quotes ANSA.
The activists will be denied special privileges such as TV, radio, and specific food: “We will not allow those who support terrorism to live in comfort,” Ben-Gvir declared, as quoted by the Jerusalem Post.
