Government Blames Protests on Pro-Russian Influence
Government spokesperson Daniel Voda criticized Wednesday’s protests outside key state institutions, calling them "electoral protests based on lies and manipulation" organized by pro-Russian parties to mislead voters, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
He stated that the demonstrations, held near the government building and the Ministry of Agriculture, were not about legitimate grievances but aimed at undermining public trust ahead of elections.
Voda highlighted that over 6 billion lei had been invested in agriculture in recent years, with all government obligations met. He also pointed to major energy sector progress, emphasizing Moldova’s growing independence and diverse energy sources.
“These so-called spontaneous protests are orchestrated from abroad and have nothing to do with the interests of Moldovan citizens,” he said.
