
Greece Reviews Security, Migration Threats
The Government Council on National Security (KYSEA), chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, convened on Wednesday to assess regional developments and migration issues, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia
The meeting emphasized the need for cooperation with Libyan authorities to prevent the establishment of a new migration route from Eastern Libya to Crete. European dimensions of the issue were also highlighted, ahead of upcoming visits to Libya by Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and European Commissioner for Migration Magnus Brunner.
The council also reviewed planned armament procurements for the Greek armed forces.
