Moldova Issues Travel Warning for Russia

Politics

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova has issued a travel alert for Russia, citing a rise in cases where Moldovan citizens face harassment, intimidation, and abuse on Russian territory, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

According to the ministry, this behavior appears to be part of a systematic policy by Russian authorities. It also rejected recent Russian claims that Moldovans are linked to intelligence services, calling them unfounded and speculative.

Moldova’s Embassy in Moscow has requested consular access to several detained citizens, but Russian authorities have denied these requests. The ministry says it is closely monitoring the situation and taking diplomatic steps to support affected Moldovans.
