EU Commissioner Visits Moldova

European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, Rule of Law, and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath will visit Chisinau on June 5–6, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

His visit begins with a tour of the Consumer Call Center, joined by Moldova’s Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor, highlighting EU-aligned consumer protection practices.

On June 5 evening, McGrath will meet civil society representatives to discuss justice, democracy, and consumer rights.

The following day will focus on judicial reform, with meetings at key institutions including the Supreme Court and the Integrity Evaluation Commission. A joint press conference with Justice Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru is set for 11:30.

Later, McGrath will hold talks with Prime Minister Dorin Recean and lawmakers about Moldova’s path toward EU integration.
