He announced the abolition of OPEKEPE, the agency managing EU farm funds, with its responsibilities to be absorbed by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). The government is also stepping up efforts to tackle high prices by introducing new signage to warn consumers of "shrinkflation," launching open producer markets, and upgrading the e-katanalotis app.
Mitsotakis also emphasized the creation of a new national market authority to enhance consumer protection, with a mobile app for price-related complaints.
Additionally, the prime minister introduced Greece’s unified health e-file, which went live on Monday. Doctors can now access patients’ medical histories, marking the first-ever national health database in Greece.
