Sandu Visits Montenegro for EU Talks

President Maia Sandu began an official visit to Montenegro today, where she met with President Jakov Milatović, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

"I began my official visit to Montenegro, an EU candidate country, with a warm and productive meeting with President Jakov Milatović. We are united by our European aspirations and a shared commitment to building better lives for our people," Sandu stated.

The visit comes at the invitation of President Milatović and follows Sandu’s participation in the European Political Community Summit in Tirana on 16 May. The next day, she also held a bilateral meeting with Albanian President Bajram Begaj.

Moldova, Albania, and Montenegro are all EU candidate countries, and these high-level meetings aim to boost cooperation and coordination in the accession process through shared experience and stronger bilateral ties.
