Greek PM Hails Dan's Victory

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis congratulated independent candidate Nicusor Dan on his victory in Romania’s presidential runoff held on Sunday, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"Warm congratulations to @NicusorDanRO... I look forward to working with you to further strengthen the ties between Greece and Romania," Mitsotakis posted on X.

According to the Central Electoral Bureau, Dan won 53.61% of the vote, defeating AUR leader George Simion, who secured 46.39%. Voter turnout reached 64.72%, with results from 99.89% of polling stations counted.
