Poland Rejects Troop Deployment

Politics

Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz firmly rejected the idea of sending Polish troops to Ukraine, responding to remarks by US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg, who suggested a peacekeeping force west of the Dnipro River could include Poland, CE Report quotes PAP

“Poland has no intention of deploying troops to Ukraine,” the minister stated, emphasizing that Poland’s role would be limited to serving as a logistical and infrastructural hub for any future peacekeeping mission.

He added that Poland’s partners in the pro-Ukraine coalition understand and value this position. When asked whether Kellogg's comments could be interpreted as pressure on Poland, Kosiniak-Kamysz denied any such implications.
