Popșoi emphasized the importance of strengthening democratic institutions and continuing reforms that uphold the rule of law and human rights. He reaffirmed Moldova’s strategic goal of joining the European Union and noted the critical role of international support in achieving this.
During the summit, Popșoi met with Anders Fogh Rasmussen, President of the Alliance of Democracies Foundation and former NATO Secretary-General, to discuss Moldova’s democratic progress and international cooperation.
The summit, held annually in Copenhagen, gathers global leaders and experts to advance democracy and protect fundamental freedoms. Popșoi’s visit to Denmark continues through May 13 and includes meetings with Danish officials and members of the Moldovan diaspora.
