Greek FM Urges De-escalation in Asia Talks

On Sunday, Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis held phone talks with India's Foreign Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. Gerapetritis welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement and encouraged continued de-escalation through confidence-building measures, stressing the region's volatility, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

He reaffirmed Greece's strong opposition to terrorism and called for accountability for terrorist acts. Highlighting the rise in global conflicts, he underscored the need for a return to the principles of the UN Charter, particularly the peaceful resolution of disputes.

As current President of the UN Security Council, Greece is committed to promoting global peace under its guiding principles: Dialogue, Democracy, Diplomacy.
