Mobile Voting for May 18 Elections

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced that voters in localities holding new elections on May 18, 2025, can request to vote using a mobile ballot box if they are unable to go to the polling station due to health or other valid reasons, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Requests can be submitted in writing starting two weeks before election day and until 14:00 on the day before the vote. On election day, only requests accompanied by a medical certificate will be accepted until 14:00.

Family members or municipal social workers can assist those unable to submit or sign the request themselves. In certain cases, verbal or phone requests are allowed.

Election officials will send at least two members with a mobile ballot box to the voter's location to ensure their right to vote.

Elections will be held for mayoral positions in Calugar (Falesti), Chiperceni (Orhei), Talmaza (Stefan Voda), Bolduresti (Nisporeni), and Tabani (Briceni), and for the village council in Temeleuti (Floresti).
