23 Candidates for Mayor in 2025 Elections

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has announced that 23 candidates have been registered for mayor in the upcoming local elections on 18 May 2025. Of these, three are women and 20 are men. Nine candidates are running as independents, while 14 are backed by political parties, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Additionally, seven lists of candidates for local councilor have been registered in the village of Temeleuți, Florești district, with 56 candidates, equally split between men and women.

The elections will take place in several areas, including Călugăr (Fălești district), Chiperceni (Orhei district), Talmaza (Ștefan Vodă district), Boldurești (Nisporeni district), and Tabani (Briceni district). The local council elections will also be held in Temeleuți.
