President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Friday that Türkiye has ramped up diplomatic efforts to restore a ceasefire in Gaza, aiming to end the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis. Speaking at a Nowruz event in Istanbul, Erdogan condemned the Israeli government's actions, labeling it a "criminal squad" and vowing that Türkiye would not allow the region to be turned into "a sea of blood."

Erdogan highlighted the tragic loss of innocent lives, especially children and women, in recent Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, which have resulted in over 700 deaths and numerous injuries since Tuesday, further breaking a ceasefire agreement. He reiterated Türkiye's commitment to supporting Palestinians and ensuring Israel faces international justice for war crimes, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Additionally, Erdogan announced increased humanitarian aid to Gaza ahead of Eid al-Fitr, emphasizing Türkiye's ongoing solidarity with Palestinians. The Turkish president also expressed hopes that Nowruz, the start of a new day, would herald a fresh era of peace, unity, and cooperation for the region.

Erdogan concluded with a call for a new political paradigm based on dialogue and solidarity, aimed at ending terrorism and external interference in regional affairs.
