Greece Stands Firm on Maritime Spatial Planning, Says Foreign Minister

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis reaffirmed Greece's commitment to protecting its national interests through Maritime Spatial Planning. Responding to a parliamentary question from "NIKI" MP Tasos Oikonomopoulos, he emphasized that Greece's seas are both its wealth and strength, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Gerapetritis highlighted the economic and developmental significance of Maritime Spatial Planning for the maritime sector. He also clarified that Greece's sovereignty issues were resolved a century ago and are not linked to spatial planning matters. The government, he assured, remains steadfast in exercising its sovereign rights under international maritime law.
