Romania will continue to give the nursing profession the importance it deserves both nationally and internationally, because only through a "major" involvement of decision-makers, they will be able to respond to the call to protect the health and well-being of citizens, President Klaus Iohannis emphasised in a message delivered on the 125th anniversary of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and presented by presidential advisor Diana Paun, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"I welcome all participants to this event which celebrates a significant moment in global advocacy for the nursing profession. Your presence here underlines both the devotion to the profession and the spirit of international solidarity in the face of common health challenges. This special event that Romania is hosting is an opportunity to highlight the vital importance of the nursing profession to global health, as a framework for the exchange of experiences and best practices among health professionals," the message reads.
