The candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) for the Moldovan president’s office, Maia Sandu, on the last day of the electoral campaign, paid a visit to the central Telenesti district. The PAS candidate was accompanied by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. ‘’I discussed with Telenesti residents, who told me that they see their country only in the European Union,’’ Maia Sandu said, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The PAS candidate for the position of head of state talked with citizens about the projects carried out in the settlements of the Telenesti district through the European Village programme. ‘’The investments in Telenesti, carried out including with European funds, are already felt. In the last years, 44 settlements have benefited from projects worth 140 million lei through the European Village programme; over 36 km of road were repaired between Rezina and Telenesti, which connect eight villages, as well as the road Banesti-Telenesti-Budai; the district hospital was endowed as well. At present, two reservoirs of drinking water are under construction in the city and the extension of the sewerage networks was finished last year,’’ Maia Sandu said.
